For general information about submissions, click the following link for our regular submission guidelines and subscription and single copy orders.

We are now closed to submissions for our next general issue, Volume 18, Number 1, Winter/Spring 2013. We will work to contact all writers who submitted work for that issue by July 1, 2012.

We will re-open for submissions to our next special issue in our 4-year almanac of writing about America on August 27, 2012 (through November 2, 2012). Here is information about that issue, "Prairies, Plains, Mountains, & Deserts." We will consider both online (through Submittable, with a small processing fee) and postal submissions for our special issues.

We will open for submissions to the Crab Orchard Series in Poetry First Book Award on May 15, 2012 (postmarked or online submission through Submittable between May 15, 2012 and July 7, 2012).
